Samsung is losing day by day to Asian companies like Xolo, Micromax. Since ARM IP caters to an ocean, most startups and private firms are free to enterprise without any consent. This was not possible with AMD and Intel and Microsoft hovering over them like a drone in the early days.
Using ARM tech does not bear any licensing burden allowing a more transparent trade. No x86 monopoly.
Apple's own A5 is an ARM solution made by Samsung.
