I think this is one of the biggest drawbacks to Linux for converting Windows users to Linux, those of us that are new, still expect to see something happen when we do something...and the developers of Linux programs should realize this, and offer "notices" of some sort, as to what to expect, for example...what I was looking for was to use "alien" to convert an RPM to DEB for "Avast AV", after all was said and done, both were installed, but no where did anything I was doing, ever say, without extensive research, that you had to open a terminal and type " avast GUI" to get to the use of this program, it took a day and a half to get there
...it just shouldn't be that hard
