I think Ultimate Edition should ditch GDM for MDM. Being an active member of Mint forum, I have been following closely the development of new MDM themes and I found some of them very interesting if adapted to Ultimate Edition and I want to share them with you. complete story at
BTW these are animated themes :D :downthere I can't wait to see Ultimate Edition themes. It's the best in theming :D

2 things

Mdm and gdm are actually rather interchangable and that's cool.

Ultimate Edition uses lightdm although older versions did use gdm so those could be used with mdm if one wished to.
