That sucks. I hate having to deal with troubleshooting hardware, its like you have to extra parts for your computer laying around just to know which one is bad. Disconnecting hard drives, floppy, optical will it post?
Nope the lights on the case (eliminates the thought of powers supply), nice case custom air brushed with a skull on it lights and fans everywhere work fine hd leds don't so much as flash, it is a well educated guess that it is the mainboard, I do have ram laying around 2 X 512 DDR 4800 sticks perhaps may make a stab at it what do I have to lose? A tera server
, the board has been problems since I bought it for her, it has AGP and PCI express, tried to avoid dumping money to begin with she has a 128MB Nvidia 6600 GT AGP card, would have upgraded her to PCIE later AMD 64 3200 or 3400 don't remember, more then she could ever use. She never complained about speed only lock ups never once a complaint when she used to run my Ultimate Edition, went back to windows to play AOE / AOM & pogo, lived there for that reason, now she is running what I call my "sled", junk to me I have thrown out perfectly good working P3's many of them
She burns that 1 up she is SOL
