Help & support for Ultimate Edtion 3.0

Wireless Network auto connection

Postby winton » Sat Feb 25, 2012 6:17 pm

I installed V3.0.1 on computers with network lans and it automatically connected.
I installed V3.0.1 on my Laptop (portable) and it doesn't auto connect to wireless networks like V3.0 an other versions?
I played with the setup, with no results..
ANYONE know how set up the WiFi networks??? Help
Love V3.0.1, now to get the portable connected to a wireless connection. Thanks

Still fighting with Wireless connection for the new V3.0.1. I found the "WiFi Radar" program in the internet folder, but can't get any results from that.
I have windows 7 on this Toshiba T505 computer and it automatically connects to wireless.. Previous versions of Ultimate Edition also let me me know of wireless connections and connected ?????? What is happening... is anyone else having this problem??? I have tried other copies of V3.0 and other versions and they work???
Help, Have is screwed up? (and this version has no problems connecting with Local network)

There should be an icon in your taskbar to click on.

There is an icon to click on... but it takes you into never never land.. not like previous versions..
In previous version, It would pop up a menu saying that a wireless network was available, or if you clicked on the icon things were easy.
Something has been done to the V3.0.1 version... ? I downloaded another ISO yesterday and will load it on a DVD and see what it does... Thanks
I like the rest of V3.0.1 (it took a few applications out and cleaned things up)

Now you are starting to get me worried... I think I read somewhere that they had done something with the wireless part??
I just downloaded the ISO again, burned it to DVD.. and am playing it on my computer with a wired lan... its working ok here.. and the wireless works on the Win 7 part of this machine.
But now I see that I am not alone.. I will try this new down load and see what is happening on my wireless machine.... We may have to get Thee Mann or others to do something..?

It probably doesn`t matter but when I download any distro I run sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade before anything else. But my wireless just worked like it always does with Ultimate Edition. Somebody should be along to help you soon.

My other computers are running on wired net.(on V3.0.1)

I`m telling you it DOES auto-detect. It detected everybody on my block, lol. Unless you have some funky router, it`s the very same setup as all previous UEs.
