i have jeen given this tablet archos9, looks ok but it has MS7 home basic on;-((. next to some gui issues i would like to install ubuntu prefebly or any other ubuntu based distro that has a virtual keyboard facility. sorry for my ignorance but i've never had a tablet pc so im unsure which is going to be the best os for this thing. the specs are as i can see, 1.2 ghz atom processor, 40 gig hdd with 1 gig ram. not good i know but hey! i was thinking of installing joliycloud or 10.10 32 bit? thanks

If it has a USB port you should be able to install most any linux OS. Just create the boot able flash drive and set the bios to boot from it.
