Synaptic Package Manager can't open

Synaptic Package Manager doesn't work. It immediately closes everytime i execute. Please help! Thanks!

OK need some more info. Is this a new install, or has it been working and stopped? Is this Ultimate Edition 2.9?

Broken package is keeping it from working is all.

open terminal and try

is Ultimate Edition 2.9 new install,cannot run after i install mysql,php,and apache,and error to mysql administrator if login mysql server.

mysql,php,apache run ok all my website running ok,but after i reboot all this error start.

Could not connect to host 'localhost'.
MySQL Error Nr. 2002
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

and when i try to find this file mysqld.sock << is gone?
