Hi- I have a Toshiba Satellite with Vista Premium. It is the only software loaded on the machine. I downloaded the latest version of 2.9 yesterday. I copied to a 4 GB USB drive that had nothing else on it. I changed the boot order in my BIOS and then shutdown. I have run the Ultimate edition all day today from thr USB live. I love it. I will be a true windows convert. I do have a problem though.
I shutdown, pulled the USB drive and restarted in windows, made a new partition with shrink and shut down. Inserted the USB drive and powered up, I choose "i" and enter (to install) but it just loads the live running version and doesnt really install anything. Any ideas?
How am I screwing this up? I cant really run the installer from windows right??

If ya want to boot via live usb flash drive.
You need to make it a boot-able pen drive.

That seems pretty good but maybe I dont understand because I dont see the Ultimate 2.9 version in the available dropdown of the pendrive software options.

Boot to the live Ultimate Edition desktop and click on the install icon on the desktop and follow the on screen installer prompts CAREFULLY ! It is not hard, But if it is your first time installing Ultimate Edition or any ubuntu flavor, It is best to take your time and be aware of what you do !

Pick the iso option and scroll to the folder were the Ultimate Edition 2.9 iso is and select it.

I can see a link on the desktop, I think it is a Ubuntu 10.10 link though so I didnt want to click. Is this the correct link?
