hi all,i know this is not about 2.9 per say.but im using 2.9 all the time now(almost).
my memory card cant be read by SHOTWELL PHOTO MANAGER,so i think the data is corrupted.
is there any linux programmes i should try to recover this?

Are you using a card reader or a connection with your camera?

In either case I would try a card reader and see if nautilus comes up with the images.

If you try looking at the images using just your camera show images? Most cameras will do this and if it does I would not mess with the card as it is probably fine.
