Bootsplash after install ati driver proprietary

:D Hello this is my first post, im register now, and im installed Ultimate Edition 2.9 now in this moment.
In recently i Installed a ubuntu 10.10 but the bootsplash change to the original splash

im dont like this color splash im try

configure/change the theme with
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth

but after i install the driver proprietary ati hd 2400 the theme always return to
http://www.linuxnov.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Brand1.png

Well in a intuit to use other bootsplash i search a derivative of ubuntu and i found ultimate edition is magnific work of remastered ubuntu my congratulations to the team.

BUT
surprisingly

after i install the driver proprietary the boot splash cahnged to kubuntu 10.10,
i try
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth
i choose azenis bootsplash
and
sudo update-initramfs -u

but always return to the bootsplash kubuntu.
My question is
is there any way to fix what bootspalsh I want.

anyway im not uninstall the Ultimate Edition,

set resolution to lower then native support.

Set size and color depth, check the boot splash box using startup manager. system/administration/startup manager.

Try 800x600 , works for most.

Then

Code: Select all
sudo update-alternatives --config default.plymouth


select your boost splash

Code: Select all
sudo update-initramfs -u


Code: Select all
sudo update-grub2


in that order

Does no good to create splash header and not add it to grub lol. So don't forget to update grub.

dotn works i execute your instructions

in startup manager

and with commands and kubuntu splash is appear.

I dont say what is the cause for is.

Maybe correct resolution is 1280 - 1024?

i change the resolution in other window of program startupmanager to 800x

and add a comands you give me

but the bootsplash change to kubuntu 10.10 with green backgorund? eheh

Yes i put the x in the show image in boot but dont work

the kubuntu 10.10 image appear with a green background

i put the commands you give to this problem include update grub2
