Just being captain obvious here is all lol.

I can tell ya that Ultimate Edition 2.9 is NOT the problem, Nvidia drivers is the problem.

yeah unfortunately i understand that aspect, i'll try to bug nvidia and try to nudge them to support linux better  they do however have a linux driver, only problem is, my technical understanding of the instructions is very low, i can do hardware, but software and CLI is another story all together

Took me 2 seconds to see the problem lol

00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA)
04:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation Device 0be9 (rev a1)

code for, got no idea what type of device, its just a device.

Seen this before, failed to install as HDMI sound device.

Mine for compare

00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) (rev 40)
06:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Cypress HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5800 Series]
07:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc Cypress HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5800 Series]

Yes yours should have listed as HDMI not a standard sound device. But its listed as a standard sound device not HDMI.
