I would have to say this is a first, I have seen. If complaints are dropped wireless on a laptop, not the other way around. I am assuming a brand new laptop, I am also assuming cutting edge technology. What do they say about Assuming?

I assume again. I stand corrected this is a isolated case. If you respond to this post I will work to fix your issue. My mind works that way, I wasted 3 processes

I'm here...I agree, I had assumed integrated network interfaces was a problem of the past.
One thing I failed to mention, the LED is a solid red...which is confusing, because the same port is solid green when booted up on the windows side.
So it isn't a hardware issue.

I have had a FEW, I emphasize a FEW Lan cards to have advanced power features for GREEN. They fail to start and shut off in Ultimate Edition.

Few bios have the option to shut the feature off, most do not.

Clear signs there is a problem, light stays red for the Ethernet. What happens is it fails to start due to lack of support for advanced power saving.

Little research into your board will point this out if that is what it is.

Wonder if theemahn might be able to find a way to shut it off in Linux ?

Ahh...makes sense.
And this laptop does indeed have a power off feature.
I ran ubuntu 9.1 on this same laptop for awhile and I didn't have the problem.

Each time, unity oz worked when Ultimate Edition 2.7 2.8 failed.

Grab unity oz from ultimate edition oz forum.

Based on ubuntu 10.1 lts
