Ultimate Edition Forum

All I can say is, "Wow!" This is by far the best distro I've found, and I've tried well over 30. Fast, secure and out of the box functionality that so many others leave out. I understand why they do (leave out some functions/softwares) but yours rocks my quad-core machine like no other.

My wife's Win7 machine is put to shame, though she still likes it.

This is Linux as it should be, compliments of TheeMahn, our benevolent Leader and the creator of Ultimate Edition.

Nice to see people happy with it, as for me, I still can't get it installed, as neither can a few other people, god knows why, I think I will wait and see what the next release, if any, will be like... Ive used the 2.6 version live dvd, and that seems to work ok.. but the 2.8, just doesnt like me... toodles for now...

I downloaded and installed both UltimateEdition 2.8 and the new OZ-Unity-1.0 Debut Edition

I will say that Ultimate 2.8 comes with every App/Program you could ever want, use or possibly need installed as default.

Also, in both Ultimate 2.8 and OZ Unity OS . . . literally, everything worked "outta the box"

Overall . . . UltimateEdition 2.8 OS is a well thought out, planned and supported addition, of what Ubuntu could/should be, and a definite asset to the GNU/Linux community.

I didn't realize I'm installing an Alpha with Ultimate Edition 2.8 - how difficult will it be to update to Ultimate Edition 2.8 final (stable)? Will it auto-update itself via the internet?

In general Ultimate Edition looks really great! Keep up the good work. I love the games that you picked for the gamers distro. Played some Urban Terror after installing Ultimate Edition yesterday.

my Ultimate Edition 2.8 could not change mouse cursor, do u face this problem?
