BlackBerry MicroSD USB issue!

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.7

BlackBerry MicroSD USB issue!

Postby jshuford » Fri Aug 13, 2010 8:18 am

I am not sure as to what I've done. but here it goes...

Until now when-ever I plug-in my BlackBerry to my PC a dialog used to appear on my screen giving me a series of options that I can utilize to access my MicroSD memory card within my BlackBerry... Options such as opening a picture editor, browsing the MicroSD card or simply doing nothing!

Now it seems that Ultimate Edition is not aware that a memory card has been connected!

I am pissing in the wind here, but here goes... This only happens when I connect my BlackBerry to my machine not when the memory card is taken out of my BlackBerry and connected to my PC through the use of a Flash Adapter!

For some reason i think Ultimate Edition is accessing my BlackBerry incorrectly!

ANY help would be greatly appreciated...Thank you

p.s. Yes the BlackBerry is receiving power and IS charging while connected to my PC...

Don't know about Blackberry, but on my phones (Nokia 6300 & LG GD510) I have to choose "USB-storage" under connection in the phones menu before plugging in the cable, then there is no problem - both the memory-card and the tiny bit of storage on the simcard pups up automatically when the cable is plugged in.

Thank you for your response, but that didn't seem to solve the problem...

I may have inadvertently changed how Ultimate Edition accesses the phone by trying to create a USB modem connection!

Is there a way to "reset" the USB settings within Ultimate Edition so that devices are returned to a "default" connection?

Jshuford, quick question, do you know if your back berry received any software or firmware updates? I do not proposed to know about blackberry's too much, but is it safe to assume you were attempting to tether your phone to your computer?

Sorry for the long wait for my response... I have abandoned RIM's BlackBerry altogether and migrated all of my shop's devices to Android!
