KDE Issues

Has anyone else picked the KDE desktop at login only to receive a black screen after KDE has (supposedly) loaded? I can summon GnomeDo and bring up apps, but the desktop is just not there.

Not to be a butt-head, but, have you installed KDE? Or rather, have you tried to re-install KDE? I haven't given it a shot with this version, but I didn't have any problems in previous iterations.

I installed Ultimate Edition 2.6 64 bit. Normally that means it should be there. Gnome is working fine. Are you aware you can select the desktop at the bottom of the login screen?

I was wondering the same thing. Do I have to install it seperately?

Asan FYI, Ultimate versions vary with the inclusion or exclusion of KDE.

Usually, even numbered releases (2.2 / 2.4 / 2.6) do NOT include KDE, whreas odd numbered release (2.1 / 2.3 / 2.5) DO include KDE.

Cheers
