Tried to post this in admin ? problem i am having is told i need to install flash plugin., but when i try i get this,solo@solo-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install adobe-flashplugin
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: The package adobe-flashplugin needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

sorry if i am a little slow on this., how do i remove it from the system so i can try again?

Oh! Oh! cant get in to synaptic , this comes up and synaptic will not open?

Sorry, but i am still having problems installing flash plugin? when i try to install using ultamatix i get this screen

fatal error

an apt based error occurred and installation was unsuccessful

when i try synaptic this screen comes up and prevents me going into synaptic

error occurred

E: The package adobe-flashplugin needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.
any help would be appreciated i am running 2.4

Please download and install the Adobe Flash Player for Linux 10.1 Beta form the link below.

Installation Steps:
1. Download the plugin to begin installation. A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the file.
2. Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file to download completely.
3. Quit your browser.
4. Remove all existing Adobe Flash Player installations from the system.
5. Unpackage the file. A directory with contains libflashplayer.so will be created.
6. Copy libflashplayer.so to ~/.mozilla/plugins. Create the 'plugins' folder if it does not exist yet.
7. Launch your brower. To verify installation in Firefox choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser menu.

Thanks for your replies,but my main problem i think ?is uninstalling existing flash files as i am unable to do this as i cant get into synaptic at all,as above it says error then closes
