Are you saying that you are receiving the same prompt, at Restart, that I do, and you just put in the Password and Restart? DarkChild suggested I click on the Blue Link below the Password Prompt, but that does not work for me. I do not know why at this point. You don't think it has anything to do with two X sessions running?

Actually, I have the latest MythTV running successfully using Ubuntu 9.10 and Ultimate Edition 2.4 (I expected this would work the same as it is based upon 9.10). I did find that Scan for channels only found 5 channels and then Hung, however, when I launched Watch TV, all the channels are there and the Schedules Direct Cable Guide is working properly.

I helped a friend setup Ultimate Edition 2.4 and I had no problems Scanning for Channels on his MythTV. He is using a WinTV-HVR-1800 and I am using a WinTV-HVR-1600. I set it up with the Card Type IVTV and the Probe found the 1800. All the Backend Settings seemed to be the same as my 1600 and he uses Time Warner Cable as I do. When I launch Watch TV, on his system, it says Waiting but never shows me Live TV and eventually jumps back to the OSD. I cannot change the Default Input from Television to Tuner 1 which is what my Default input is set to. When I Update the mythfilldatabase, on his MythTV, it does not take more than 15 sec so something is not right. I have posted on the MythTV Forum but I have not had a response, yet. A Google Search for the 1800 card seems to indicate that it does not work with Analog Cable, however, the only posts I could find were a year old. I guess the 1800 card is not just the PCIe version of the 1600.

As for myth....I still havn't figured out how to make my bt card to scan.Something change,but I don't know what yet.

Nvidia Beta driver 195.22

You say that your running the new Nvidia beta drivers? Yes you did. I am running the same driver on a HP Laptop and i am starting to think that it might be the beta drivers causes me to get that prompt. I am running Ultimate Edition 2.4/Ubuntu 9.10 on other systems without that Nvidia beta drivers and I'm not getting the password prompt!!

Is it possible that I somehow have two X sessions running and if so, how can I check for that? I am not very good with Command Line code, but I read something about xms. The prompt I am getting for Password talks about Restarting with Multiple Users Logged In. I did a Google search on that and found a reference to the file org.freedesktop.consolekit.policy.

If you dig down deep enough you will find a few "New features" that are annoying...well at least different.

Indecently I went through my services,and turned some off.It appears that authorization box isn't popping up anymore....might be worth checking out.
