To all having problems with wireless on 2.4 and 2.4 gamers I found that if I did the following:

sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-karmic linux-backports-modules-karmic-generic linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic

and then do a restart after it's finished installing it fixed my wireless problem I was having I no have 100% connection without any signal loss. Just a suggestion worth trying hope it helps the majority of users
