STUPID PROGRAM make it go away :(

Torrentflux is a BAD program and I can't get ride of it. I installed a few torrent programs to find one that works good (which I did "Deluge"). Synaptic won't install anything because of torrentflux and I can't uninstall it threw synaptic. So how can I destroy this program. I found it in the filesystem and I lock on the target I just need a nuke or 50mm SOMETHING!!! :!:

and every time I install anything it pops up and trying to install and no matter what I do it doesn't work. I glad what I try to install still installs despite the fact torrentflux configuration keeps failing no matter what I do.

I've tried srm but it's not working. Permission Permission Permission. If I had that I could delete it.

What happens is I try to install a new program from synaptic then this (see picture) pops up. If I type in a password it's doesn't go away if I click cancel then (next 2 pictures). AT LEAST the program installs but this is SO ANNOYING.

Torrentflux must GO!!!

Does it show up as a broken package in synaptics?

Did you install the recommended packages also?Looks like you set it up to use MySQL database. If you don't have this it won't work...might be the case? Not sue if it installs this package automatically either.

Use a terminal to update/upgrade.Or use a terminal to use apt-get purge...might work.

Post any error from the terminal.

sudo apt-get purge torrentflux , Also have you tried in synaptic "edit" "fix broken packages" This most likely wont work but just putting out there, My suggestion is that in the future you research the programs before installing them as it is not a good idea to mix distribution apps, Torrentflux is Designed for "Debian" Which yes is in the realm "BUT" not all Debian packages work in Ultimate ! And not all Ubuntu Packages work in Debian, you have dependency and repo issues to deal with, so what I do is example :: Google search "Torrentflux in ubuntu", And then sift through the posts,And see what the chatter is ! ;) :ugeek: :D

I think I tried that and it didn't work. I'll try it again.

Yeah I know not everything works in Ultimate Edition. I also know that not all programs work on this computer. I just imagine worst come I can delete it.
