HELP using SUN broadband USB modem

Im using sun broadband usb modem on my Ultimate Edition 2.3 and its huawei e220 modem, im wondering i plug the usb and it display the icon of the SUN BROADBAND on the desktop. Then i right click on the NeMng and set the broadband connection to sun cellular(philippines) then i click finish. Im wondering why its still on default connection with VPN i did try to right click it again and edit the connection on the sun the i change the APN minternet (sun cellular) to fbband (sun wireless broadband). And still no selection on Sun wireless broadband when i right on the NM still VPN is the default of the connection.. why is that? what do i miss? i need help on this one.. i dont want to work on windows anymore ... im from philippines by the way... and i used the sun broadband on my other computer running on windows. Did i do something wrong in configuring the connection? am i missing something here? need help on this one anyone?
