Even though I have a converter it still won't allow me to edit anything in pitivi. I can easily edit my mp4 from my phone, but I can't edit my.mov converted to mp4 from my dvd recorder. I plan on getting a new one camcorder SO yeah it's solved, but at the moment I can't edit my .mov

Nor do I have the editing power to change the post from "ooops not solved"

Well anyway before I get a mp4 only camcorder I have some mov files that when I convert them to mp4 they still don't work in pitivi. Kdenlive doesn't work at all for me even on kde. I need something like pitivi that simple and easy to edit .mov files or any file for that matter. Once I get a mp4 recorder this won't be a problem, but I don't plan to get one for a while.

Try Kdenlive
It works good for what I use it for and it is much faster than the others.

mmmmk umm I'll just start another thread when I feel this problem rising again.
