Gnome tweaking

Postby Jeahavee » Wed Nov 11, 2009 11:46 pm

NOTE I keep editing this so if I have a new issue it'll be in the same place. Each it own different tweak.
Also I'm in no hurry...
Gnome: I want to set my mouse scroll to change desktops when I scroll up or down. It currently does it when I press ctrl + alt, before I could just do it. (I can just do it in KDE).
I need a wallpaper changer that I can set to shuffle threw wallpapers randomly every 20mins or so.
I've noticed that Mozilla text is so "thin" also when I write in a box anywhere I can't see the writing. Is there any way the make the text visible and thicker.

NEW!!1 (12.20.09)
I want to change the login screen from that blue xubuntu. I downloaded a few from Eyescandy and how do I apply them. I don't see "login screen" anymore.

In your menus, System->Preferences->CompizConfig Settings Manager, scroll down to Viewport Switcher and make sure it is enabled. Click into Viewport Switcher, click Desktop-based Viewport Switching Tab. 'Move Next' needs to be set to Button5 and 'Move Prev' needs to be set to Button4.

Wallpaoz having a hard time loading it up again. :lol: how do I get it working where it loads up everytime I login?

To answer your question Cell I haven't done any yet, but I was planning too with LMMS. I like to find a karaoke record cus I do the music with my midi, but it would be nice to do the vocals on the computer. (I probably start another post on Music production).

Jeahavee ,

you can go with the easy way of all the software=build in the system:
System->Preferences->screensaver.

In your menus, System->Preferences->Sessions.
Add wallpaoz here and it will start everytime you log in.
