I do look for you to turn green with envy (a global mod) ;) Italian for what Tseliot (A.K.A Alberto Milone)?

Let me quote him & a great guy BTW:

OK I was away from my computer most of the weekend... Quick question: will there be an apt get upgrade to go from 2.2 to 2.3? I really like what I have with 2.2 and don't want to blow away my current install

hey bill, do you prefer gnome over kde?

the next release will give you more window manager options

and just a few more tweaks here and there. you have plenty of time to enjoy 2.2 wait till karmic gets stable thats a whole new kernel. on a side note, I usually keep3 kernels or so, that way when I go up a notch on kernels and something doesn't work i jos go back to the previous version.

I was a KDE 3.5 guy, but Gnome is really growing on me. KDE 4.2.4? Not so much, but I am sure I could get comfortable with it

Welcome any time Thee. Just doing what I think is best, testing all three environments/worlds to see what strange errors/glitches/creatures can be found on those planets!! When I turn green  , I guess I'll be the incredible darkchild666 lol, just kidding.

Personally, I like KDE4. Looks better than Windows 7 and many more effects! If you are going all out, I would add E17 instead of XFCE. It is every bit as fast and looks 10 times better!
Keep em' coming....they only get better!

brute, E17 may look better, but its not one of the stablest/most popular or best desktop shell out there. I think what TheeMahn is trying to do is to give us "Thee best of 3 worlds" GNOME , KDE & XFCE. Thanks for your suggestion though, it is appreciated. One of the great thing about E17 is that it is known to run on Non-high end machine like (like 100 Mhz CPU, 64 MB of RAM).

Oh well, thought I would bring it up. I use E17 on moonOS and have really only one issue and that being with skype. Ecomorph adds to it even more, but if XFCE is where it is at, I will stay with KDE4 and E17.

Great job on 2.2, not much for gnome but it does look good. Thanks.
