Upgraded to Lucid with Ultimate 2.2 Installed

Postby bogus » Sat May 01, 2010 2:45 pm

I was unfortunate enough to have upgraded to Lucid and I had Ultimate 2.2 installed. The packages are broken now, I can't seem to either install or uninstall it. Is there any workaround for this or perhaps a manual way to uninstall it? The following is what I get in my apt log:

Reading database ... 455740 files and directories currently installed.)
Removing ultimate-edition-theme-2.2 ...
dpkg: error processing ultimate-edition-theme-2.2 (--remove):
subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
ultimate-edition-theme-2.2

I think you may have hosed yourself. The admins have been saying not to upgrade. The good news is that 2.6 will be hitting real soon now, I have 2 computers with Ultimate Edition on them, the lappy is somewhat messed up, the Desktop is ok, I will be installing 2.6 on both of them asap!
What I am doing, and I recommend, is to backup your home folder and reinstall it when you get 2.6 installed.
