Hi nick, thanks for the update on Ultimate Edition and Theeman, I have installed jaunty and find it the easiest to install yet. I miss the Ultimate Edition tho. Have a great day.

Those packages are in the jaunty repo too...But may be a newer version than whats on the 2.1 dvd.

But what abt those which are not in jaunty? There are lots of application which are not in jaunty. Is there no way to get them install from my 2.1 DVD?

go into your var/cache/apt/archives folder,and save all the debs somewhere safe.....assuming you never did a apt-clean you should have everything that came with U.E in there,and what you got from synaptics.

I yet have to see something I can't install in 9.04 that I had in Ultimate Edition Well except utimatix,but Its not needed to get your apps you want...makes it easier tho.
Tell me what apps you think you can't install,and Ill check it out for ya. ;)

Oh ya....This is linux.Your not limited.I have repos from mint and super os on my machine.Two totally different distros... Their all based of Ubuntu. ;) Another thing.If you have an ATI graphics card it might not be supported under 9.04.You will have 2d but no 3d.Which is fine unless you play games.
