Search the forum first, saves freakin people out !

Sorry I didn't mean to upset you. Someone told me to check this out. I'm just trying to get away from Windows. I guess I should just stay with it.These forums can be hard to find what your looking for.
Have a nice day.

As far as support actually goes,we as a close knit community are behind every user of Ultimate edition, Ubuntu and Linux overall. if theres a problem with the distro itself, the forums are a great way to interact and learn. if its a canonical/Ubuntu issue, trust me, we probably are aware of it ( right nick?) if its a particular package thats giving you issues, then usually the author/maintainer is the one to help you resolve the issue. GOOGLE will be your bestest friend ( Thank goodness for open source huh?).

In the event that you do have an issue, first do not hesitate to ask but usually the fne souls here on the forum would generally prefer to have a bit of information about the issue at hand. things like what type of hardware what version or kernel number you have running ie. linux kernel version 26-24-8.1 this would be on your GRUB list on the boot options. it just so happens that each kernel version of linux thats flavored with Ubuntu have their unique quirks such as atheros support works really well for two versions in a row then suddenly stops working, or a video card or sound card that has never worked ( properly) suddenly gets excellent clarity and frame rates. some hardware does not play well with some versions of linux. If you reeeeeally need bleeding edge gotta have it before it hits he market technology, then linux is not the absolute best option. now if you are wiling to wait a few months. by that time the kernel dev team will have time to catch up.another benifit, is that any issues resolved or unresolved will be posted in bug reports and errors somewhere on the net.
