Question about Updating Ultimate Edition 2.1 to Ubuntu 9.04

Help & support for Ultimate Edition 2.1

Please forgive the ignoreance...but I still don't quite understand the deal with this. I JUST installed UE2.1, and NOW I need to Do a clean install of 9.04 to take advantage of ext4 (which, btw, sounds VERY cool) and to clear up the update CONSTANT notification of packages I CANT'T use...right?. And even given this fresh 9.04 install....that's JUST regular UBUNTU, Right? So, then, HOW do I proceed to install UE2.1 again...won't the install just wipe 9.04 out? In the words of Vinny Bobarino..."I'm SHO conFUSSED"!!! c'mon, someone help a knucklehead out here...

alrrighty, then...I see, so my suspisions were correct...in order to take advantage of ext4, do 9.04 NOW, or wait for 2.2...NP....and should I wait for 2.2, the notification isn't going ANYWHERE, is it?

You may just want to wait til this weekend...we've been informed Thee may be back by then (it's only a few more days, so if it pans out, it'll be worth the wait for 2.2..)

I did a fresh install of Ultimate Edition 2.1 then immediatley upgraded to Jaunty. Not sure if this was the best way but worked fine on my old, somewhat crappy, laptop. Dunno if I gained anything though and the upgrade download did take well over an hour!!
Having read this thread I'm regretting not using ext4. Thought I'd stick to what I know, which aint alot.

Edit: Should I have done this?? have i overwritten some of Thee's work??

Cheeers for the prompt reply Strider and will wait for 2.2.
But just out of interest my question still stands; Does upgrading Ultimate to the latest Ubuntu release overwrite any of the improvements/tweeking TheeMahn has done?

P.S. Like the look of Stoneredition, made me chuckle :D . I'd install as well if my lappy had a bigger drive, but I think 2 operating systems is quite enough for the poor thing!!
