im using ubuntu 10.10 with a lot of restricted plugins turned on , One good feature to perhaps implement would be a tick box to keep models inside of cube parameters perhaps.(noob mode)
ive only fiddled around with this for 10 mins , been religiously pimping my pc for the last 20 hrs without a break(few reinstalls of the unity 11.04 drove me up the walls) . Compiz is amazing , people are still posting terrible desktop setups on youtube running compiz cube as though its the "new best thing " but most haven't a clue at all the extra packages, Ive always preferred the sphere (the way it wraps video files with 3d windows and all this i had running on virtualbox back in 2007 on a single core cpu, feels like you guys were a decade ahead of windows back then. hopefully with canonicals proper support (so i hear ) things are gonna get even better.
Thanks again , i never knew this site even existed an hour ago

[edit] So many cool ideas this probly isnt the place for it but here goes anyway : i want a cube or sphere that would spike up as you play audio think its called a synthesizer but a 3d one. there really isnt much out there to promote this "cube 3d model ". A rubix cube snake constantly twising about(think theres a default screensaver for that though, ive also tried xwinwrap a GUI for a noob like me would be nice too, i wouldnt mind some liquid metal in the cube that responded to the rotation of cube (licks lips) i heard physics might be on the cards soon.
P.s. loving this, now got the space station flying through the "stars" plugin , nice model too using the zoom function to get a good look ^^
