Yes it is,754 socket,and already giving me problems.

Ok, newbie here, and haven't read all the posts, so hopefully this hasn't been asked already.

The only dome that works for me is the 2.4 skydome, the 2.6 lightening just gives me a white blank backdrop where the dome should be. Same with the other domes everyone has posted. Anybody know why?

I am using Ubuntu 2.6, but had the same problem in 2.5

Try this one !

That's the lightning I can't get to work.

I'm putting it in the /usr/share/copmpiz direcory, right along side the only one that works, and just get blank white. I even restarted compiz after, and no dice.

Any other suggestions?

Try putting the one I supplied in your pictures folder and pull it from there. also what is your resolution ?
