I think you will find what you are looking for somewhere in here. Anything like this is usually in your /usr/share/ directory. Look for a .gif extension since it is animated. You may not be able to kill it without killing the nice spinning Ultimate Edition cursor unless you understand the computer language it was written in. I would just live with it and treat it as a good joke courtesy of Thee!!! I find it amusing, myself!!! It is a programmer thing(their minds work very differently than ours do). I never quite understood a programmer, but thank God for them, or we woudn't have $#!%!!!
/etc/X11/cursors contains shortcuts to the actual files(that is what the arrow in the top right hand corner means-Thought you would have known this by now!!!).

Nick wrote:Thanks stanca, thats the first thing we both tried, however even if selected, it would still appear. Take note of my screenshots, when I took then, Tux was there but when I looked at the screenies, not there, go figure.

Still hassling me, hanging around

I tried the same thing, but did it while I was on the net and tux was active, and that sems to to the trick. All the other animated coursers are intact - only tux has been replaced. I still have him while I'm at log in screen - and that's fine, but not when logged in.
