Hello all, please excuse my totaly lack of knowledge, I only converted to linux about 3 days ago after years of Windows and MAC OS use. I have installed Ultimate Ubuntu 1.9, everything install great, however my internet connection when usng my wireless card was very slow. I found a tutorial on the ubuntu forums that instructed my how to install th ndiswrapper, and the correct windows drivers, in my case rt2500.inf. Now that I have installed the drivers I cant connect to te internet at all. The littlw network icon on the top right of the screen no longer has a wireless option, and neither wifi radar, or the other wireless manager in ultimate ubuntu can find my wireless card or router. I have installed windows again, bah hum bug, but needed to to allow me to try and find an answer on the net. One thing I should mention, I initially had the lateste version of ubuntu installed, the one from the ubuntu wedbsite, and whn i did the same procedure with the ndiswrapper everything worked great. Any help wuld be greatly appreciated, as I really want to start getting to gips with linux.
This is the tutorial I used
