Text Corruption

Postby romanus9 » Thu Oct 09, 2008 10:41 pm

Hello friends, first of all thank you for such a great OS! My version is Ultimate Edition 19/64

My problem is that at times my laptop a Compaq Presario ADM Atlon 64, 2 G Ram "suffers" of text coruption, to correct this matter I have to invoke screen resolution, change the res, and voila done! I would like to ask you if this is a matter you are aware of? For your time thank you very much!

PS. I cannot reproduce this PR but I noticed that happens after long time of inactivity, and also when I fold back the laptop without powering it off.

Have you gone into BIOS and turned off all power settings? Linux and BIOS like to play tug-o-war over power management.
