Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.9

Anyone try Ultimate Edition on a Mac?

Postby ubermensch » Mon Sep 29, 2008 8:09 pm

Has anyone tried Ultimate Edition on a Macintosh?
Either through virtuallizing or through a native install?

Does anyone know if its possible to install it through Boot Camp or Vmware Fusion?

And also on Vmware Fusion is there the "unity" or integration functions available while running linux?

Thanks!

Hm, but I know for sure that it is possible to install ubuntu on an Intel-based Mac. I just wanted to know how well Ultimate Edition works with one, and if there are drivers for the hardware used in Mac computers.
Maybe TheeMahn will know and respond...

Sorry, that was funny to read :D He's knee deep in Ultimate Edition 2.0 right now, so your answer will come from a Mod / Admin or other member more than likely. If it works in Ubuntu it will work in Ultimate Edition. On the specifics of how to do so, I would suggest looking for some how-to's on google if you don't get a response soon. Sorry to sound vague, but there aren't many Mac users that have come through asking for this. I've been here since it started and I don't think that anyone has asked that question before. Sorry.
However, if you do get it going Please, Please, Please post back here to let us know how it went and how you did it. It would be very useful info for the masses to have access to.
Thanx,

ok I have another question uberness.

Are you planning a dual boot system, a "Parallels" install or an all Ultimate Gung Ho take no prisoners approach?
