In my opinion I have no problem trusting your work, and others that have used your Ultimate Edition also trust your work. I say to those that have reservations about something, don't use it. Those of us who have trust in your work will benefit the most.
Thanks for the link. Much appreciated. Will post back with results.
Thanks, I am indeed striving for perfection, I have had bad reviews, none of which top 10 in google, damn I am #1 there now. I "try" to make it all that and a bag of chips the "haters" are always there (most likely a windows user) O.K. with me, I am trying to bring the world together, even if it is one step at a time.
Please post what you think of it, I have not implemented synaptic yet or exclusive lock, but an understanding.
Do not think the code is not there as Ubuntus update manager does, as an example:
- Code: Select all
def unlock_apt():
"""unlock here to make sure that lock/unlock are always run pair-wise (and don't explode on errors)"""
try:
apt_pkg.PkgSystemUnLock()
except SystemError:
print "WARNING: trying to unlock a not-locked PkgSystem"
pass
I will not BS you or anyone else. Do not think they are w/o error. How about I take the time to re-write it in C and shut it all down, I bet you money a mainstream contributor to Debian, rethink me (the haters), not you?
Most even when I do and view it as I hate c more then enough to understand... No I am not playing when I do so. How many programs have I written that utilize the API (windows world)? Hell I could have written that. I will not say anymore.
