Try one or more of these packages: http://packages.debian.org/search?arch= ... rds=gambas
You may have to find and install the depedencies yourself. You should be able to find them all at the debian site. Ubuntu was developed from debian so most of the packages will work just fine. If you get a dependency error from the package installer just go back to the Debian site and find the dependency. You may have to do this numerous times. I have done it before installing other packages with good success. You can also search the web to find any missing dependences by looking for files with the .deb extension.

Howdy lalinux...here's a site you can try...under the install paragraph, there is another repo to add to your sources list:
http://www.linuxinet.com/free-linux-sof ... linux.html

Another thing to try is to uncomment the other repos in your sources.list and then refresh your list by running:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get update

I would uncomment these: (note: you will have to have root privileges to edit and save the file - sudo gedit)
# deb http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-backports main restricted universe multiverse
# deb-src http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-backports main restricted universe multiverse
&
# deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner
# deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner
by removing the '#' in front of the address. so they look like this instead:

deb http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb-src http://id.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-backports main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu hardy partner
