Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.8

I do not enable them by default, when building the O/S, for the exact reasons stated here it "could" break your O/S. I also have done the same days ago and I do have to agree with the snapiness the upgraded kernel provided as well as boot time. This is not a "safe" practice, please note I am running the "unreleased 32 bit" of Ultimate Edition 1.8, none the less proceed at your own risk.

This is the tab that makes those updates available:

I identified the tab as "Third-Party Software" when in fact it is the "Updates" tab. See TheeMahn's screenshot.

That's how your repo's need to look under the Updates tab to get the updates in queston: Everything checked. Sorry, my mistake. I'm behind a Windows machine at my office right now and was going by memory. Do THOSE repo's... Then reload and update.

Cool. You're probably in for some serious downloading... I think I got like 75MB worth of updates.

Post back when you've had some time to test things out? I'm curious if this is as good a deal as it seems.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

If it's not broken, you haven't tweaked it enough.

Ok, well....I did the upgrade, and I still don't have any sound. I don't know why I am having such an issue with sound, but this is somewhat irritating....

You as well as me ATI brother, please Envy re-install your drivers, they are in "experimental state", kernel wise (dkms hammered me with choppiness, but still worked) I said there are reasons for not doing so this is also one of them. I really noticed it. I hate hardy as 1.7 would take care of it. You are single I am crossfire when I get "cut down" I really get cut down. Mark my words re-install your drivers.

Reinstall Nvidia not an option with Envy...crashing and not able to install.. :o
Option 2 installing with Hardware drivers failed....not an option.. :o
Now have a screen resolution of 640X480...lol.. :o
uploading some pics
Bottom line this Distro is tested by TheeMahn before he releases it..we all have the option to Try and improve..end results..not a pretty picture..to large :o

please show me a shot that does not show ATI

I am sorry if it does not appear this way, I even went back to an old build to show you, it should be there. You now have a ATI card brother, not NVidia, although I miss my NVidia it was faster then both of my ATI cards until nix wakes up and supports crossfire, I will not point fingers yet... Don't buy a second card until then believe that.
