I am sure I will appreciate your work, thank you for working so many hours on this.

We all appreciate the praise and are glad you like it.
However Ultimate Edition has only one creator and one set of fingerprints on it, That would be TheeMahn.
His vision, his baby.
And yes, I quite agree, he deserves high praise indeed.
Every new release amazes & delights me, not an easy task.

Here Here!! While it's true that Thee pours his heart & soul into each creation to make each edition better, and much praise and sincere thanks to him for that <bowing>, it's also true that the "team effort" of the forum staff in providing friendly, invaluable assistance, and a family type atmosphere to the forum makes it a place surely one can call "home". To the 'team' goes (I'm sure this speaks for most) our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for being here. For the team !!

And a special salute to Baphomet. Why?? you may ask...for providing his quick wit, outstanding sense of humor, and knowledge (moreso I believe than he let's on ) and enabling us, when things seem to get to overwhelming over what ends up to be really minor issues, to sit back and laff at ourselves just when we think we're all alone trapped in that 'black hole' of the universe been a long time since I've laff'd so hard. I am still very much a nooby here and in nix but since 1.7 was released I am a convert. I know that this is not something you just whip up, this is truly a labor of love it take time and probably a whole lot of patients. So thank you TheeMahn.
Yes this might be the work of one man but without the support of the rest of the team it might not be possible so here is too the rest of the Ultimate Team

I'd like to give a special Baph-O-Thanks to everyone who's got a booger-hook in the creation of Ultimate Edition. Had it not been for Ultimate, I would have long ago given up on Linux as being too much for me to take on. Utlimate Edition came to the rescue and showed me that Ubuntu/Linux is something I can use to free myself from the software-chains of the Evil Empire. I can't even imagine the amount of time, effort, beer and sacrificial virgins must go into every release.

Ultimate Edition is like the Chuck Norris of Ubuntu... Every boot breathes life into a punching, snap-kicking BEAST of a distro that wipes the floor with every other. Fedora? SuSE? You can find them huddled in the corner whimpering and curled in the fetal position begging for their pathetic lives as Ultimate Edition looms over them... Flying around the room like a Supreme Ninja with A.D.D. and a bad case of morning crankiness from not getting any off his Ninja-girlfriend the night before! PCLOS? Linux Mint? They're nowhere to be seen, having been reduced to pulp and pink spray by Ultimate Edition's whirling blades and Fists of Fury (pat.pending)!!! All except for their collective testicles, which hang from the satin sash of Ultimate Edition's Supreme Ninja uniform thing like tiny, shriveled trophies... Rolling around like raisins in a burlap sack!

Ladies & gents it is not the "work" of 1 Mahn, sure I "make" it but there are many involved in testing it etc. You may not think of this as a big deal but things I may overlook are brought to my attention... for example 2 days ago I uploaded a "beta" for admin / mods to test & cowboy brought to my attention an error, sure I was aware of it, but that is him doing his job... it is input from others that help assist me to make it better. The error is a thing of the past and has improved substantially since he downloaded it 2 days ago.

Another example and funny he posted it was the work of 1 man, without leadfingers we would not have a Ultimate Edition 1.8 at all, he posted me a link on how to build *nix by hand. Our admin goes about this board and helps others something I typically don't have time for. I am very appreciative of our admin. And once again w/o the users....

haha this thread makes me laugh, I'd like to thank Theemahn for his hard and tireless work, sad to hear his data was lost, one disadvantage of a raid, 800 gigs is too much to back up again thanks theemahn you give me the best computing experience available.
