Help & support for Ultimate Edition 1.8

upgrade ???

Postby ima » Fri Apr 25, 2008 11:59 pm

I've been running 1.7 for a week or so and love it and am looking forward to 1.8 but now the question at hand, in the update manager it is asking if I want to upgrade to 8.10 I'm guessing I need to wait for 1.8 to upgrade. Is this right?

Thanks
ima

Yes waiting for 1.8 is the best option.
While it's possible to update to Hardy from gutsy, it may bork your system,
and you still won't have all the cool goodies TheeMahn is putting in 1.8.
Waiting till TheeMahn releases 1.8 will be quicker & easier (and more complete)
It will be worth the wait, and save you Kernel heartache.
