evolution

I have never used evolution on my computer as I just did all my emailing from yahoo or msn, but sometimes when I am doing genealogy the evolution page opens automatically and asks me to configure it. I have no idea what I am supposed to do when it asks me for a backup file. Would someone please explain what I should do to get this working. Again thanks for all the info I get on this forum.

First off: Evolution Mail f--king ROCKS!

Okay... So at what point does it ask for a backup file? Maybe it wants to know if you have contacts you want to import, or emails from another email handler or a previous install of Evolution Mail.

If you don't have those, just skip over them and continue with configuring Evolution Mail.

If you need help setting up Evolution Mail as your default email handler, see this handy tutorial on that very subject.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

If it's not broken, you haven't tweaked it enough.
