lost folders?

Postby deate » Wed Aug 27, 2008 5:40 pm

Man, this is my day for losing stuff!!! Ok, so I downloaded 2 Ultimate Edition .iso files to desktop, burned them to dvd, then decided to clesn the desktop up a little, so Icreated a new folder on the desk top, and named it...then drug the 2 .iso files there...so that I could burn more copies later...turned off computer for a while then on re-boot, the folder is gone...where????I've done every kind of search I can think of but I have no idea where the folder went...any suggestions??? Good thing my a$$ is glued on today
edit 1. I forgot to mention that after I drug them to folder, i opened it to verify that both .iso files were there, which they were...

Try enabling the viewing of hidden files and folders in Nautilus, then check both recycle bins for your missing folders.
Ultimate Edition .iso files are pretty large... I'm betting they're around somewhere.

If not, you can always duplicate your DVD's.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

If it's not broken, you haven't tweaked it enough.

Yeah, I would have thought that files that big would be easy to spot  , but alas, they seem to have vanished, oh well, with the speed my son has here, easier to down load again...935-955 Kb/s "smokin" only takes about 30 minutes here where it takes me about 8 or 9 hours :)

The only thing that disappeared was the new folder that I dropped the 2 .iso files in, maybe they were just too hot for 1 folder, you just know how Ultimate Edition smokes!!!
