lol... that's what you've got. do you have any way to verify it? i think you paid for 40 and got 70... lucky  i've never known that to be wrong. to verify, though, go to
Code: Select all
system>administration>partition editor
in the menus and wait for the back-and-forth thing to finish. if you have more than one hard drive, select the questionable one from the list at the top right.

hope this helps,
Vinca... aka BIG V

Are you going by memory when you say that, or what? I doubt very seriously the hardware monitor is incorrect.
Your memory on the other hand I'm not so sure about.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am...

I'm positive that I have a 40 gig HD. I'm running a 4 yr old Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. Besides, during installation partition editor identifies my HD at 38.3 gigs. Checked system monitor and it verifies this. Was just wondering why Disc Usage Analyzer is reporting such a huge difference. And Vinca I wish I was lucky enough to pay for 40 and get 70. The way my luck runs I'd pay for 70 and get 40. lol

I think that you are right vinca, I took a look at my Usage Analyzer and it told me that I have 862.1GB. When I took at look at the Partition Editor it told me that I have 500GB.
