Yes you do. I have printer sharing over a network at both home and at work between Ultimate Edition and XP. Is your printer a commercial style printer? Reason I ask is because I had to play with a commercial style Canon Lazer Copier/Fax/Scanner and had to go to the Canon site and download a RPM file and use 'alien' to convert to a .deb file all because of the same issues that you are experiencing. The only thing that Canon had was a driver for 'Linux' and it was a 32-bit driver and I had 64-bit installed. Is this what your dealing with?
