Great but I have already installed a lot of games myself by now (sauerbraten, openarena, nexuiz, battle for wesnoth, urban terror, tremulous, warsow, savage 1... Could it cause compatibility problems and breakages of some sort?

Thee Mahn is/will be working on a gamers edition. It will 99% probably be 32bit as there are very few games that work properly in 64bit. This tends to be more than just adding the games to current release. Yes you can upgrade and add them but thats not going to get you the GAMERS edition. Please dont start pushing Thee Mahn for gamers already. Everytime they release a new kernal everyone assumes Thee Mahn will have a 32 bit a 64 bit a gamers a KDE and everything else right away. This is not a TEAM of people but just one Mahn working for free doing what he likes to do. I always feel he is pressured to release things and I would prefer him to take whatever time he needs. This is a lot more than just adding things to 8.04 making it a dvd image and putting it out. I could go on but I know for a fact he is fully aware people want a gamers and he will get to it. and believe it or not he has a life outside of *nix.
