can not move application windows around screen freely

at first i could not minimize /maximize windows , i got that sorted with ccsm and adding windows decoration.

im not sure but i think the option i need to enable now in ccsm is "freely transformable windows" but everytime i put a tick in the box to activate it, the tick stays for a few seconds then removes it self form the check box.

any ideas??

the freely transformable windows is not it. you need better graphics then you have to be able to do the freely transformable windows, it enables you to turn your windows all around 3d like. can you move windows around in metacity?

just figgered it out, there's a plugin in compiz "move window" make sure that is checked.

in ccsm settings check to see under windows management if move window one is checked

awesome thanks guys, fixxed it with your suggestion of putting a tick in the "move window"

cooking with gas now.

i knew it had to be something simple, i swapped windows managers from compiz to metacity and when i did metacity did what it was supposed to do.
