I'm sorry Dark Shadow, I wasn't sure of what version of Ultimate Edition you were running, so I threw that out there, cause 1.8 -64 was mistakenly uploaded to all with out his repo installed in the sources.list. I'm curious about your KDE statement as well. I personally don't have the 32-bit installed yet , but just from TheeMahns release version #'s .even numbers are gnome only distro's while .odd numbers mostly have KDE installed as an optional desktop environment. Are you sure you don't have 1.7 installed with KDE4 installed? It seems to me that if you are having problems with d4x installing from the command I gave you, there might be some other issues at hand here.

I installed Ultimate Edition 1.8 & then installed the KDE desktop from the other post.
I checked, I already had TheeMan's repo in my sources.list file.
