Have enabled remote assistance and status icon states that it is enabled. Connection continues to time out and unable to connect to my own computer using the various methods.
Have added a rule through virtual server through my D-Link DSL G604T to open up the correct port this has still not solved the proble.
The other party is able to connect to their own machine but unable to connect to mine and I am unable to connect to theirs
Have read the other post in regards to this but all suggestions in there have been unsuccessful
Any ideas????

Here's a site that goes thru the steps for installation....
http://richbradshaw.wordpress.com/2007/11/28/installing-nomachine-nx-on-linux/

The problems I had with connections when I first installed it revolved around not having the server started on the machine I was connecting to....... I entered this at the terminal on the receiving machine to get things running:

sudo /etc/init.d/ssh restart
sudo /etc/init.d/nxserver restart
