Howdy, Looks like I have to update my how to, I thought I had how to install the themes to! :? opps, My bad, No problem, Just follow this (your own personal how to!) Its easy :D untar your theme to you desktop, I am assuming you have gnomenu icon in your task bar, Right click the gnomenu icon click preferences, In preference panel, in menu selection click "install" and navigate to the theme on you desktop double click the theme and your in ! you new theme will be in the menu, click the menu bar and pick your theme ! :D

:geek: Hmmm, sounds like gnomenu is not loading, We can try a couple of things, When you reboot,(have you rebooted?) Do you get an error message? Have you (can you) remove gnomenu from your tray, And re-add it to your tray?(And start over with a new add?), Have you tried adding another instance of gnomenu to your tray, to see if that does the same thing? OR, (worst case) Open a terminal type sudo nautilus navigate > filesystem > usr > share > gnomenu , and delete it, And then reinstall gnomenu as before, I will research this further and see if I can find other answers for you ,get back to me and let me know, Till then others may read this and have other Ideas I'm sure It's Nothing critical. ;) but annoying none the less!

:ugeek: Hmmm, Ya keep throw'n me curve balls :) , I don't know what gnomenu would have to do with your compiz settings, But try this, do you have "compiz-fusion icon"? Aplications > system tools > compiz-fusion icon, click that. (If not go to synaptic and install it), right click the compiz "icon" in your tray >select window manager > "compiz", Then "reload window manager" try that.

OK now I'm a little confused (more so than normal!) :D By panel you mean your application, places system tray? and by compiz settings you mean that the tray does not have the same look as the rest of your theme? Try going to system > preferences > appearance, Click on the theme you have to reload that theme, or click customize > controls, and click on the control theme you had, (did you by chance) when you first placed your new gnomenu theme, Place it in the desktop "themes" folder manually or some how install it to the desktop themes? Just asking , As I haven't had this happen before and am trying to figure out what went wrong; So if this comes up again we will have the answer right off the bat! :D
