Can Someone Please Post A Way To Make Network Sharing With Windows A Bit More Understandable For Us Newbies,I Had Mine Working One Way For Awhile And Now Its Gone For Good It Seems,Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated. Thank You

I've been thinking about that for quite awhile now, however I don't think that I'm the one for the task. I got so frusterated with networking with Vista, I gave up and installed Ultimate Edition on the same computer. Now I have no networking problems :D I agree, that using Samba can be quite confusing and frusterating with Vista, hopefully somebody else here can give a good tutorial on it ;) From what I've heard, XP is much simpler, but couldn't tell you first hand, I've had Vista for a while now and that machine is locked up super tight!

OK I Did Exactly What You Said But I Still Cant See Anything Either Way,Can You Explain How To Check My Smb conf File? I Think I Have A Name Server Problem,My msnhome Is Gone,Replaced With Windows Network? Any Help Would Be Apreciated.Ive Changed Things Around A Bit,My Thing Is Workgroup,All Of The Ip,Add. Are Ok In The Gui Network Tool,I Dont see Where Im Going Wrong.

I Guess I Have To Edit My Smb/Conf File To Keep The Settings Even After Reboot,Am I Correct In Assumming Id Use sudo gedit to do this? Thank You-smuggly
