Mouse gestures as standard?

With all the gestures available on other platforms, will Ultimate Edition follow and provide even better and easy to install software for this. I started to follow one line of installing gestures for my Synaptics Touchpad but, gave up. Things were starting to fail through lack of bits of software or out of date parts not keeping up with what is required. This is not the way to do things obviously. Anyone building packages of any kind must surely have everything that can be conceived of available and right there, in your face. The installation, like Ultimate Edition is, must be easy and straightforward.
I had the misfortune (if you like) to build one or two very small Visual Basic programs. They were simple, did the job and installed perfectly every time. All libraries went along with the installation so that no software was left behind or ever out of date.
I understand that people are trying and are spending their own time trying to get software to work for various parts of the lots of different systems out there but, it does the Linux cause no good if the new users (and even ancient users like me) cannot get a clear run installing software to do the business.
