Could do with a message about disk checking at startup

Postby sedge » Mon Jul 13, 2009 6:05 pm

Hi
2.2 has appeared to stop for no apparent reason at the 2.2 splash screen.
I have restarted in recovery mode and the text has told me that a disk check is being carried out.
A message on the splash screen would help with this.

Thanks for your feedback & suggestion sedge. As always, we appreciate & value our members feedback/suggestions!! If I am understanding what your saying, I have had experience of Ultimate Edition doing disk checks, but there is a message there stating that there is a disk check taking place!! Must have been a malfunction with your system files/hardware that made you not see the message!!

had the same issue, Klikit (my old Ubuntu) had a line that appeared on screen allowing me to opt out of the disk check, I don't think we need that, but a notice that it is happening would lessen the panic that my install may have gone bad.
